wanna a new friend?

her name is Bethany, she's pretty, smart, creative, loving, caring, and totally awesome! she has a bunch of girls, and does a ton of activities to keep them busy. her blog is fun to read- and full of inspiration, she can make a bad day good, so go over and meet BETHANY!!

some projects and some jayners

well this week has been a week of laziness for me- well, i haven't realty left the house, or gotten ready to go anywhere:) if you would have come over, you would have found me in jammies, wearing glasses, listening to books (harry potter, tarzan, eregon, and the witches) and snacking on cookies and rice crispies. I did however accomplish a TON. here are a few projects ( i sewed something different everyday, but these were my faves) some placemats for a wedding gift ( i love the colors and this floral print)

and i finally made Jayners some curtains for her room (up until now, she's had a sheet in one window, and a HUGE two person towel in the other) i just love this floral print- its crazy, and i love the bright colors

here's my jayners- she was pretty photogenic this week, because even though i didn't get ready, she coulda gone on the town if she only had a date:)
one day we DID go over to my friend brittany's house- jayners wouldn't take a nap there, but fell asleep on the way home, she's just so cute

my little secret

well, i need to tell someone, it's driving me crazy! i have a crush on my husband darick, i've known for a while that i that i kinda liked him, but today when he asked me to move the air compressor back in the garage i really knew, i mean he wouldn't ask me to do something like that if he didn't like me too right? I hope so. i was thinking about what i would say to him the next time i got to see him, and was totally flustered because i couldn't figure out how to turn the compressor off, i kept hearing air leaking out of it! i was so embarrassed, so i just unplugged it... and that didn't work, oh well, at least i would have an excuse to talk to him again, i mean seriously, this guy it so cute! then the best thing happened, he called me, and i said "see you when you come home," but what i was really saying was "dang i can't stop thinking about you, you have muscles of steel, and a rockin' bod!" i don't want to be too forward with what i say, i don't want to scare him off, i think he's the ONE. sometimes, i'll just be sitting around, and i'll just start thinking about him, like out of the middle of nowhere. and sometimes when i listen to certain songs, i pretend he's singing them to me, weird, but really who doesn't do that? And sometimes i like to write my name with his last name SHARON CAITLIN CARPENTER, how great does that look? UPDATE! he actually talked to me just now! he said "sweety (i know, he has a nick name for me!) can you get me those dishes off the table?" and i was like "yeah." i think it might be time for me to actually tell him i like him! i think i'll write a note...

New creations

Here's a cute little shirt (well, they're all shirts) it has a little bird flying to a branch
I also made some matching pants (they're a little big on jayne... she's just too skinny! the shirt is a size 6-9 month)
Here's another shirt... and it also matches the pants, it has a little owl on it ( i'm a little obsessed with birds lately)
and to mix it up a little bit, i made an elephant shirt
Although i think my little shirts are really cute, my little model is the cutest (she can totally pull off any outfit!)

in case you are wondering... yes i made up all the patterns(shirt, pants, and animals), and i used my own bias tape for all the edges (for a tutorial on bias tape click here)

Brittany is a crafty, artsy, can accomplish anything momma. she's pretty much a stinking genius. she loves riding Arabians (horses) and has 3 adorable children: mason likes school, playing with electronics, and playing spy, or mission impossible...
Ellorie loves the color blue, bugs, and art.
Averie is the babe, she babbles and smiles and is very girly.

Its been a year!

well, i made it- I've been blogging for a whole year! can you believe i made it this long? lets remember some of the good times eh?

Jayne update

here is a little jayne update... she still loves to take baths and her hair is getting much longer, its a full blown mullet now:)

she is now 14 months and growing WAY too fast. she says please, thank you, puppy, cindy, baby, momma, dad, wow, uh-oh, ball, owie, and a ton of other random noises that i can't quite make out, but are very entertaining and seem to get her point across.... oh and she also points to everything
