Girls Camp 2011

We got to Girls camp on Tuesday, and got the camp all set up.  then we had lunch and right after lunch our sister ward camp for a visit.  We made mustaches on a stick.  It was silly and fun.  the mustaches were then used all week long.
We had flag everyday.  I gotta say, I love out flag.  I get a little emotional when I see it waving.
On Tuesday night we had a mega storm, with hail, rain, thunder and lightening
we went to bed a little wet and cold, but still happy.

Wednesday morning we went on a hike, there was several to choose from, I went on the newest hike "Packsaddle Lake"  Basically it was a dirt road.
here we are taking a little break, I think you should stop and enjoy the world around you
(me, Ashley D., Krystal, Katie and Ashley P.)
When you reach the tom you have an awesome view of the Tetons and valley. Then you go down this little tail to the lake.
Here's a nice view of the lake

The girls were having fun, but a little tired. Then we got down to the lake and we were looking at the water and enjoying the scenery when 4 cowboys showed up.
The girls we instantly giggly, perky and flirtatious. The cowboys wasted no time showing off for the girls. One took off his shirt and started swinging from the rope swing over the lake. The were flexing, daring each other to do different things, and posing. Overall, they were just being boys. The girls were/are totally infatuated with them.  I was a little ways away and commentating for the boys.  I had a couple girls by me, and we just laughed at the boys.  They made for some good entertainment
On Thursday we made up a song about the cowboys, had water fun, a service activity, made necklaces and we had Bishop's night

Here's the Cowboy song, sung to the tune of  "Sipping Cider"

Bishop brought chicken for dinner and we performed our skit and sang some of our new camp songs
(Kayla, JaNeil, Jackie, Sierra, Ashley P., Aroura, Katie)
On Friday we packed up camp and the girls got their awards for completing all their certification requirements
Here are the YCLs, we had 5 YCLs from our ward
(Shayla, Kayla A., Ashley D. Sharalyn, and Josie)
This is Elder and Sister Sorenson, they are the camp hosts this year.  They stay at camp Darby all summer.  They are amazing, she is so awesome, and he was really funny.  They were great to be around
There is an awesome slide at camp, I went on it a couple times.  It has about 15 rules to go down it, and you are always really nervous the first time you go down.

Pictures of the kids

There hasn't been a whole lot going on around here.  We're just busy traveling, and when we're home, we just like to sit and relax.  We did get a new camera, so we've been having fun playing with it.  It's so nice to capture the kids' personalities.  I think we've taken about 3000 pictures in the past 2 weeks.(no joke!)   Here are a few of my favorites....

Weber Reunion:July 2011

My Family had another reunion! Is it just me, or are we always getting together?!  Not that I mind, I really love being with my family.  We started out with the boys having a Halo Party Thursday night.  We didn't get any pictures, but they had fun :)  Then Friday morning, the sisters got together for breakfast.  We also had a surprise baby shower for Shavonne.  Shavonne's having her first baby (a boy!) in October.  We all are so excited for her.
(back row: Mom, Rebekah, Me, Mel, Autumn)
(front row: Kim, Nancy, Courtney, Shaina, Shavonne, Karissa)
After the baby shower breakfast, we went swimming.  It started out really nice, then a rain storm came blowing in.  We tried to wait it out, but in the end we went back to Jamie's house to play at the park and play

After minute to win it, we played kickball.  Its always fun!

We played tag with glow sticks, it was fun cause we could see everyone!

On Saturday the main activity, and whole reason for a reunion was my brother Ian getting sealed to his beautiful wife Karissa!  We are all so excited for them!
This is the 10 kids, mom and dad, and the in-laws
And wee had to throw in the kids :)
After the sealing we went to my brother Warren's house and had a BBQ, white elephant gift exchange,  dessert, and a movie.  It was really a great time.  Its so nice to be able to visit with family, they are my best friends!

Carpenter Reunion: Savannah gets baptized

The last thing we did at the Carpenter reunion was go to Savannah's (Anna's daughter) baptism.  She had all her family there, and it was so special to be part of her day.  We are so proud of her for her decision to join The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.  To learn more about my church, click here.

Carpenter Reunion: Jayne turns 4!

While we were at Darick's family reunion, Jayne turned 4! It was exciting. Since Max had his Birthday last March, Jayne has been dreaming of her birthday.  She had a list of things she really wanted, including a long neck dinosaur, a (NEW) doll house, and a water bottle she talked about them for months!  Darick's sister, Anna, made Jayne's birthday cake.  she did an awesome job.
Jayne was so excited, every time she would lift her arms up, all her cousins would cheer.  Jayne would just giggle.
Then it was time to blow out her candles, the kids had cupcakes, and the adults had the cake, it was really yummy!
Here's Anna with her sweet creation.  she's an amazing cake decorator, check out some of her cakes here
Jayne's other request was balloons, and when a birthday girl wants balloons, she should get them :)
She got some really great things, including a doll house, creatures for her doll house, a dinosaur, some beads, a zuzu pet, and some puzzle games
We love you Birthday girl!!
