if life was as simple as a stick figure...

One of my favorite things to do is doodle, and mostly i write my name and draw stick figures. i wanted to do it on the computer and this is what i came up with. i thought it was pretty cute, and wanted to share it with the world:)

i'm a princess

My latest project is making blessing dresses- this is one i just made, it's really frilly. i'm gonna sell them at a baby botique here in Idaho Falls. And oh my-this botique has the cutest baby things, it's my new favorite store.

The Worm

I found this video of me doing the worm at work one day. I'm serious, it really is me. Boy i've got some sweet moves!

Intruder

i found this little monster on my wall. it totally freaked me out. i'm not a big fan of spiders, i always think they're gonna get me while i'm sleeping. it freaks me out. this guy is swimming with the fishies now, we flushed him (we didn't want his squished guts on our wall)
Fact: if spiders lose a limb they can grow a new one

A rose by any other name would smell as sweet

cool pumpkins

here are a few of the pictures from the pumpkin walk. i think they are sweet and i can't wait to grow my own pumpkins next year!!

the pumpkin walk

I went on a pumpkin walk yesterday with some of my friends. it was pretty fun. the people who created it had pumpkins dressed up like different characters, like Snow White ant the 7 dwarfs, Luke Skywalker, Hagrid, the California raisins, they were pretty cool. there were giant pumpkins, squash, gourds, hay, corn and lots of other fun decorations. Its nice to see how creative people can be. They also some cool facts, like pumpkins are 90% water, and most of the pumpkins grown in the US are in Illinois. Crazy huh? overall i had a great Friday.

land before time xxiii (23)

In my preschool class today i was able to journey back in time. i was stationed in the play dough area, and there was a dinosaur shaped cookie cutter. so i rolled my pink dough and soon i had created a whole Dino land. i had T-Rex's eating the long necks. i had an alligator in my pond and i had some pterodactyls flying in the clouds. one of my little friends and i were having so much fun in this Dino-land of our creating, until another little boy came like a meteor and smashed all my Dino's together in one big glob. it was a sad day in the world- for one brief instant the dinosaurs roamed the earth again.

over 3500 pounds of pure pumpkin

so in my preschool class we went on a field trip to see some giant pumpkins! they were so big, the kids were so cute, but i think they liked the bus ride more than the pumpkins themselves. The lady who grows the pumpkins was telling us about them, and how to grow them. she said that when the pumpkins bud you cut off all but one from the vine so all the nutrients goes to that one pumpkin. then you have to "tuck" it in at night, she would put sleeping bags over the little monsters. anyways it was really cool, and the pumpkins are getting carved in another week! so i got a few seeds to try to grow my own giant pumpkin next year, yahoo!

A cultural experience

Last Saturday i was visiting my brother Jamie in Utah... that night my husband and him went to watch the priesthood session of conference in the conference center and all the girls stayed home(one of my sisters, my sister in law and me). we decided to have some fun of our own. so my sister in law and i went to get a chick flick and food. we went to the "china isle" and DANG! it smelt to good. we couldn't decide what to get and so we got everything that sounded good: beef and broccoli, almond chicken, lo mien, lemon chicken, sweet and sour chicken, sesame chicken and egg rolls. the little lady taking out order was like "you must be hungry" because it was a ton of food for just three people, i bet it could feed a small army. so we got back, ate until we couldn't move and started our movie "the fountain." it was weird, i don't think i'll be watching it again, seriously it kinda freaked me out, especially in the beginning... i wanted to watch transformers but alas it hadn't come out yet (on a side note, transformers is a must see- i don't care who you are). so anyways, it was a sweet weekend by any one's account:) (this is a side note for Shaina- Jamie made sausage gravy on Sunday-way good).

waRshington...

I was just thinkin' while i was driving to my parents house in washington that some people slip in extra sounds and syllables in different words. my favorite just happens to be the "R." now it does not appear in the dictionary, or in official scrabble games. the sound is simply slipped in... but i say lets make it official. words that have the letter combo of "ash" shall now be said, and as far as i am concerned written as aRsh.... here are a few examples... SquaRsh, waRsh. there are a few exceptions such as cash, and mash... the R just wouldn't work. but i say we incorporate it whenever possible.
