Today at school i was hanging out with jayne, and she was kinda fussy because i had been holding her all day, she didn't get her ground time, so i put her on my lap like this, and she loves it. so i showed darick when we got home, and it's just so cute we had to take some pictures.

I value the friend who for me finds time on his calendar, but I cherish the friend who for me does not consult his calendar.
our friends dropped in for visit this weekend, and there little boy is beyond cute. i want jayne to marry him-in like 22 years. hahaha. anyways it's always nice to have visitors, but we stayed up late last night, so i think i'll go to bed early tonight, i'm just so sleepy....

22...what's a girl to do?
so today starts the 22nd year of my life, i know crazy huh. sure there are older people out there, but still, this is me we're talking about because it's my birthday. i had my first day of class today for the fall semester. and my husband was watching the babe while i was in class. when i came to pick her up he was like "she needs her diaper changed" when i went to do the dirty Job there was a box of my favorite chocolates in the diaper bag... it was great.

i also got a sewing machine-and i started making jayne a blanket, i have recently fallen in love with purple and green...

the tiny stalker
Praying mantids are highly predacious and feed on a variety of insects, including moths, crickets, grasshoppers and flies. They lie in wait with the front legs in an upraised position. They intently watch and s
talk their prey. They will eat each other. This little guy was lurking on our living room window... watching us. i was totally mesmerised, how often do you see a praying mantis? so here are some facts i gathered from my research into this amazing hunter...
- The adult female usually eats the male after or during mating
- Mantids are active predators and consume other insects
- Front legs modified as raptorial graspers with strong spikes for grabbing and holding prey
- Praying mantises eat insects and other invertebrates such as other mantises, beetles, butterflies, spiders, crickets, grasshoppers, and even spiders. The praying mantises also eat vertebrates such as small tree frogs, lizards, mice and hummingbirds. Praying mantids can resemble flowers and can catch small, unknowing hummingbirds. Praying mantids also eat othe
r nesting birds.
