why oh why does it get this cold!

Seriously, why does it get this cold outside? i don't know how much longer i can take it!

what is THAT!?

My sister kimmie came and stayed with me for a couple of days, and jayne just loved every minute of having her auntie here. kim took these little glammer shots...Yes that is a booger, and jayne can totally pull off this look, she is still so dang cute!

back in the day... (which was a wednesday)

I just printed a bunch of pictures of Jayne off for a new hobby I’ve decided to pick up (scrapbooking... can't wait for Friday) and I was thinking about me when I was little. Then I thought I would share some of my cuteness with the blogging world :) so hello world, this is me...
I was a pretty cute baby... I mean just look at me! Here's a little shot with my best friend and little brother Ian
I was a huncher
My daddy took this picture, I just love him (I was also in an overall stage, that's all I owned and wore)
I was trying to do something with my awful bangs... and I think I just made it worse:)
Here I am at my 8th grade graduation... I was so tiny
This is a couple years later, Ian and I always played dress up
Here's my graduation pic... my dad is a great photographer

I went to college and stayed up way to late (1:00am-ish) and got up way too early to go to work (3:30am) I was a janitor. This pic was taken at about 3:45 right before I walked out the door
Also a college pic, I had alot of time to reflect on my inner thoughts and feelings:)
I met Darick... and we got married
I’m a happy camper... I really do love to go camping

Calzones

When we lived in rexburg we would have themed dinners with some of our very best friends. Darick and i hosted a patriotic breakfast with crepes, strawberries, blueberries, and whip cream. We had Chinese food, and watched mulan, but one of my all time favorites was when we had calzones. It really was a moment in time. (we played that song while learning about the history of calzones) seriously, these food experiences are one of a kind.
so here is my awesome recipe for calzones, they are great for kids because they can stuff them with whatever toppings they like, and they are really fun to make.

Toppings-
Pepperoni (i chop it up smaller)
Ham
Sausage
Green peppers
Olives
Onion
Mushrooms
Pineapple
Bacon
Chicken
Tomatoes
Mozzarella cheese
Red sauce
White sauce
(i just use pre-made, its easy)

Bread recipe (i use this recipe for cinnamon rolls, dinner rolls, bread sticks, orange rolls.... on and on)
2 tbs. yeast
1/2 cup warm water
3 tbs. sugar
*Combine in a small bowl and set aside
2 HOT cups water (you can also use scalded milk)
1 tbs. salt
1/2 cup oil (i use veggie or corn)
6-8 cups flour
*In a large bowl pour HOT water, salt and oil. Add two cups of flour. stir. when the yeast mixture has grown add it to the large bowl. mix together. add one cup of flour until you can knead, knead for 5-10 mins, cover and let sit for one hour to rise.
(if using for rolls, form dough into balls and let rise again.... the same goes for loaves)

Buttery Topping-
Several tbs butter melted
Garlic powder
onion salt
Italian seasoning

Calzones-
Take the bread dough and pull off a handful (less than a softball, but more than a baseball)
with a rolling pin stretch dough to 1/4 of an inch thickness. spread sauce on half, place cheese, toppings and more cheese fold dough over the top, and seal (roll edged into each other) it will look like a half circle. bake at 375 until golden brown (15-20 min) brush on buttery topping. cool and enjoy!

*as a side note for shaina, this also makes a great freezer meal, just make the calzone and then freeze it on the pan instead of baking, once frozen place in a baggie for later! can be individual or family:)

Jaynes bad day

Here are some new photos of jayne, i just went to get her pictures taken today, lets just say it wasn't a very good experience because that photographer did nothing to try to get a good picture, her smiles were because i was entertaining her. the lady just thought that jayne would look up and smile automatically, well fyi lady babies don't do that. overall, these photography places better step it up, because jayne doesn't really have bad days.

Jayne's Boyfriend

Several months ago Jayne found her true love. I was lucky enough to witness it. She found her He-Man! This little action figure turns any day into a great day. if she is sad, he knows how to cheer her up. He loves to cuddle despite his fierce reputation. now his whole life is about protecting Jayne.
Seriously, who could resist that body:)
He-Man's Powers:
He-Man is characterized by his immense strength. In the intro sequence of the 1980s cartoon series he claims to be "The Most Powerful Man in the Universe". Similar wording is also used in early packaging of He-Man toys. He-Man's strength is an issue rarely tackled and seems to vary depending on the adaptation. In his first DC comics appearance he was able to trade punches with Superman. Typical of most adaptations is that He-Man is often shown successfully attempting feats deemed impossible by other characters. Episodes of the original cartoon also depict him as being able to swim at a far faster rate than is humanly possible. It is unknown if there is a limit to how long He-Man can remain He-Man before he reverts back to his original form of Adam, but in the 2002 series, He-Man is shown enduring the brunt of at least two large explosions, which he survives, but reverts back to Adam in the process, suggesting that even He-Man has a limit as to how much abuse he can endure before his superhuman strength and stamina is exhausted.

The Missouri mud flap...Kuntucky waterfall...The ape drape.... and the Achy-Breaky-Big Mistakey: all names for the MULLET

The mullet has long held a place in my heart. i think it started with uncle jesse in full house.now i don't go out looking for mullets, but they do seem to find me. While i was in arizona on vacation, i was minding my own business, spending time with my husband when this little boy caught my eye. he was staring at me! i saw that he had a full blown mullet. i wondered what mother would do this to a poor defenseless child. Later this boy came up to me! i know... weird. i had on my "i love mullets" sweatshirt, and he wanted to know where i got it (i had it made FYI). So he posed for a picture with me, and told me his life story. turns out he wanted the mullet, and loves it.... the hairstyle was his choice! he goes by "mullet boy" like his hair gives him super powers, i don't know maybe he's some kind of samson. All i know is it a nasty haircut.... and here in southern idaho it is quite popular. Here are some other mullet pics and descriptions...
Animull-
This is the most fierce and dangerous mullet species alive. Do NOT hunt one if you are a beginner, or even a casual mullet hunter...Leave these to us professionals. Like a shark, this is one ferocious predator. Many have weapons, and are looking for any reason to use them. (Fortunately, they tend to only end up hurting themselves.) Physical Predatory Traits to Look for: -Cigarette frozen in the mouth (especially when not lit) -Cut out sleeve/neck shirt exposing faded military tattoos. -Handlebar mustache (a slight variation to the mullestache) -Holding an empty water bottle and leaning against something, creating an intimidating stance. -Ronnie Milsap sunglasses, and attitude Hand musculature has morphed into a strong claw-like grip over many years of evmullution due to habitual cigarette smoking while holding various plastic bottles (see above). -- Note: This right handed specimen appears agitated as the middle digit is slightly flexed, or in a "flipping the bird" position. This usually is a precursor to heavy aggression and blatant cruelty to all animals, big and small.

Wedding Mullet Every now and then, the mullet is invited to a wedding. This is definitely the time he lets it all flow...no ponytails to conceal the mullet on one of these special days. It's a rare opportunity where he can legitimately "Party like its 1999", and he takes full advantage of it! Though the wedding mullet is a fairly harmless creature, he is almost always OBNOXIOUS. You'll find him telling really bad jokes, which are immediately followed by a deep belly laugh. (The kind that overpower the traces of all the phony laughs from others who aren't really listening anyway)

one looooong trip

So For Christmas Darick, Jayne and I went to Arizona. it was super fun, but such a long drive. We spent the night with my brother jamie in utah on our way down. When we were in Arizona we stayed with Darick's sister anna. She's really cool and has such a cute little family (5 girls). On Christmas we got up at like 7:30ish and jayne was so tired she kinda just layed there, then she got going with the presents. she just wasn't ready to be awake. We also got to see my oldest brother Warren. Then we went to the mesa temple to look at the lights and stuff. here are a couple pictures from our adventure.

When we were driving back up to Idaho we stopped in utah for a couple of days to stay with Jamie, and my sister kim. We spent New years with them and it was so fun, we played games, and hung out. When we were leaving kim's kids all hugged me, it was really cute.
