Baby Jordyn

I got to be at the birth of my new little (big?) niece Jordyn Alyce (uh-lease) Heath. She is 9lbs 1 oz and 21 and 1/4 inches. She also has TONS of dark brown beautiful hair. I just love her!! Watching her come into the world was amazing, and my sister Courtney seriously looked great afterwards. She wasn't sweaty, pale, had the shakes or too tired to even smile, she was probably the prettiest lady in the whole hospital, all relaxed and happy. I love being an Aunt!

Photoshop-ing

I took a two week class on how to use Photoshop, it was two-2 hour classes really. Super fun, in just that short amount of time I learned some really fun things! So I've been playing around with some of my photos... here's some for your enjoyment!
BEFORE:

AFTER:
I took all the color out
put the color back into the blanket
blurred the edges
darkened the corners
then put a little bit of color back into Max

BEFORE:

AFTER:
I moved mom closer to dad
fixed the background that was moved
cropped
took a little color out
and darkened the edges a bit

BEFORE:

AFTER:
I cropped around Shaina
erased the kids
filled in the grass
took all the color out
put the color back into the ball
blurred the edges
and darkened the edges
(Shaina is playing kickball and she's 5+ mo. pregnant, I love this picture!)

BEFORE:

AFTER:
I fixed the lighting
took out some color
darkened the edges (can you tell I like this feature? It brings your eye in)

BEFORE:

AFTER:
I cropped
blurred the edges
darkened the edges
colorized
choose a sepia color
My mom and Sisters!)

Most of these pictures are from my family reunion last year, and this year's is just a couple weeks away! I'm really excited for it, but I won't spoil the surprise by telling you ALL activities we've got going on

Purple plaid suit

Yay!! We all have our outfits for my little brother's wedding! Max's started out as just a bow tie, and sort of grew out of control. But it could have been a lot worse (better!), I debated on making him some suspenders as well, and would have if he was crawling... but decided not to. Who knows why? Maybe I still will? I dunno...probably not, probably. In any case, The little man is going to be the best dressed there, unless you count Jayne, then it will be a draw :)Oh I can't wait to see all my family in a couple weeks, I'm getting super excited!
His vest and pants both have real working pockets, why? Maybe I'll put his binkie in there.

He's just too cute for his own good, I think I could munch on those cheeks all day.

Naked with a bowtie...

Seriously is there any look this baby can't pull off? His wedding look is still in the works, but I got the bow tie done and wanted, no NEEDED, to show off how cute Max is. Yes, he smiles now *little tear, my baby's growing way too fast! Don't you love the little man's receding hairline too? Super cute if you ask me!

My first dress

I have to admit that I love to sew clothes for kids, mostly because they always look cute in whatever. Of all the sewing I've done, I have never made a dress for myself... until now. I used a store bought pattern, and mostly love how it turned out. One of the best things about this dress is I can nurse Max while wearing it. I'm excited to wear it at my brother's wedding, hopefully I can get the little man's get up done, then we'll be all set. Some people wonder how I am able to get all this crafting done, and I'll tell you the secret. Ready?! I let my house go, I don't clean, Jayne can get into whatever will keep her occupied long enough for me to finish my project (which usually involves her moving the contents of her entire bedroom out into the living room) So for a few hours of crafting I get to do several days of cleanup, but it's all worth it.
*update:
The pattern is McCall's M5974 "The Perfect Knit Dress" I made version "C" it's the red one in the picture. I used a dark grey knit, the color in my photo is actually accurate, even if it's in black and white :)
