Before...
um no, i did not cut my hair myself... some people can do it, I'm not one of them.. reasoning for the cut... I've been wanting to cut the blond off my ends for a while. it's not like i went from brown to suddenly blond, but my ends were a lot lighter than my roots. and i didn't want to highlight my hair (1. my hair was pretty long, that can get expensive going in every 6 weeks 2. and i am sort of digging the darker hair- but didn't want to die my whole head darker...) so my hair was finally to a pretty good length, where i could cut off the blond, and i wouldn't really have super short hair... just the normal short (this is probably the shortest my hair has been since like 8th grade). i know that a couple of my sisters went and got hair cuts, and it was the final straw for me, the last push i needed to go and cut it all off....
i went to a little shop called "the hair company" i called ahead and made an appointment. then i called back to find out their payment methods (did i need to go get some cash or what?) she told me that right now their debit machine was broken (not true- when i went a lady was getting her nails done and payed this way) but i think she just wanted some cold hard cash money... i then found out the price i was going to pay for my cut ($36!) i politely told her i would like to cancel my appointment ( i could find a place to do it for 5 bucks... ya digg?) she then said that she was having a "special" and her price was $26... i asked if that included a tip (maybe rude, but i still think she wanted more money than i was willing to pay) she said no... i was about to just cancel for good, but i decided to leave the choice up to her.... so i said that i could go to the bank and pull out increments of $10... i could not pull out $26. i said that i would pull out $20, pay her $15 for the hair cut (which i think is a good price-that's 3X's minimum wage in Idaho- for an hours work!) and if i like the cut she gets another $5 (if i don't like it, then i could still go to a super cuts and have $5 to to get a new hair cut) she promptly accepted my $15 dollar with possible $5 bonus. so an hour and a half later, my hair was short short short. (she was nervous about taking so much off-about 7 inches... but i told her it was my hair, and to just go for it) so after that LONG explanation, here she it, the new cut!
After...(note: i just took a nap with my contacts in, so my eyes are a little red)
From the side...
I'll post some curly pics tomorrow!

I really like the new cut! I didn't realize your hair was SO dark!
In response to your comment on my blog - yes, you're the other former roommate :) Haha
Ooooh, it looks really good! Are there longish bangs, or did you just have it tucked back behind your ear? Rebekah and I got our hair cut at "The Hair Company" too!
Sooo cute, I love it!
I like it. It makes you look more sophisticated
Ok, she took an hour and half? That seems incredibly long time to cut hair. It looks great, but wow to sit there that long and be fussed over. I'm glad you didn't pay the full price too.
