Baby Dollie

I'm still working on my knitting skills! This project is a little baby. She's suppose to go with these
Dolls. The pattern came from here. I think she turned out pretty cute, but there are a few things I learned for next time. She's also really tiny, only about 7 inches, including hair and legs.

Jayne loves her (she loves all babies) this is a picture of them "sleeping."

She has a little diaper too! Now I need to make a little dress or something, but I can't come up with a pattern myself, so we'll see what happens. Maybe I'll sew her a little dress? I love her little face, her hair and her bow, but especially her belly button! Jayne likes to blow on her tummy, its cute to watch! Hopefully I can make a momma Dollie out of this book.

Urban Dictionary

My sister Shaina just posted what her name means in the urban dictionary. Lets just say, it wasn't so great, and some of them were pretty funny. Too bad, because Shaina really is a wonderful person, seriously, you would be lucky to know her. I wanted to see what it said about my name, so I looked it up, and I think that its just a little too nice. Don't get me wrong, I like myself, but I'm not the greatest person out there. Here's what the dictionary said about me.

Sharon
*Somebody that is amazingly beautiful, funny, kind, and outstanding.
*an awesome girl to talk and hangout with (here's the example of using Sharon in a sentence it gives: Wow,that looks like fun, her name must be Sharon.)
*An extremely hot self-centered girl with brown curly hair. She is said to hold her own and become extremely popular with the people around her. When people try to hate on her they just get more jealous. (this one makes me laugh!)
*The epitome of cool
*a word used to describe anybody who does something very, very, idiotic
*a person who loves everyone except for one person (I do really dislike ONE person)

Go check out what your name means, I bet you'll get a good laugh!

More Baby Fair products

I finished some more pants, and I've made some appliqued onsies to match. Pictures are better than any description I could make, so here you go...
Just Onsies

Pants and Onsies combos

The monster is my favorite

Lots more to come, I still have 7 weeks of crazy kid sewing to do! I've been working on the boy things first, I guess I'm just feeling more creative in the boy department these days, but I promise I have some pretty sweet girl things developing too

Baby Fair

The BirthNetwork of Idaho Falls is hosting a "Baby Spring Fling." On April 10th. It's a pretty cool idea. They're going to have different info on the hospitals in the area, midwifes, doulas, nursing information, and different booths that are selling items for baby. I was invited to have a booth at the Fair. I'm pretty excited about it. My only concern is I'll have a 1-2 week old baby... but I think it should be fine. I'm going to make some onsies with different appliques, skirts, dresses, booties, burp rags, toys, nursing covers, pants.... and whatever else I can come up with. I'm working on stocking up all my baby stuff now so I'm not worried about not finishing on time.

Here's a little sneak peak at my pants idea... I had this picture in my head of what I wanted them to look like, and I think they turned out way better! So the Baby Fair is the project I'll be working on for the next 8 weeks... hopefully I can finish everything before my own little guy finishes cookin'
(These are BOY pants)
The Front...

The Back (the pockets are my favorite part!)

Sock Monkey Hat

When Jayne was first born, my sister Shavonne made her a pink sock monkey hat. It was one of my favorite things ever, and it was stolen while we were at dinner one night, right off the table! Who would steal a baby's hat? A Criminal! So I asked Shavonne to make Jayne a new hat because we were at the beginning of a very long and cold winter, and my baby needed a hat for her head! Shavonne said she would do it, but in the meantime I better figure something out because it was gonna be a couple weeks before I got a new hat. So that's when I started my crocheting adventure and started making crocheted hats.
I mentioned a couple weeks ago I wanted to start knitting, also inspired by Shavonne. She has a ton of really cute patterns, but I think my favorite will always be that sock monkey hat. So I've been working on making a sock monkey hat for our new little man... I made one, but it was too small, I didn't make it tall enough. So I started all over, this time even more determined to succeed! I took a few breaks in the process, but here is my first knitted hat.

Jayne was kind enough to be my model "it's baby brudder's monkey!"

here is the link to the pattern if you want to make one too! click here
Now I'm trying to decide what my next knitting adventure will be, I'm thinking a Dollie, cause I'm a sucker for dollies

Its a wordless Wednesday

Well, a few words... Here's me my first semester of College, it was about 3:30 am, and I was about to go to work, but took this picture cause I was cracking myself up. Then Jayne came out with her hair the same way, maybe she does have a little of me in her :)
