Halloween Fun
This month has been fast and fun. There are so many great things to do in the month of October. In these parts there is a fun little thing called The Pumpkin Walk. Its pretty much some really awesome scenes that are made out of pumpkins and other fall squash. They also have boards painted with fun characters. Jayne, max and I went with some of our friends
Here is the Count Jayne
Here’s some of the other kids that came with us
Here I am with some of my other princess friends (Cat, Emily, me and Shannon)
I really love the Tinkerbelle Movies, I mean REALLY love. I can’t help it, they just draw me in. I watched previews and wasn’t really impressed.. but man, now I almost can’t get enough of them. Its kinda a problem, I’ll be walking though the room and just stop whatever I’m doing to watch Tinkerbelle and her fairy friends. So I had to get a picture of the fairies in the pumpkin walk
A couple days after the Pumpkin walk, the whole family went to a corn maze with some of our other friends. Here’s Jayne with Kendall. They have this love/hate relationship. They’ve known each other since birth and I’ve babysat Kendall a lot. Some days they are friends, and some days they’re not. Kinda like brother and sister.
Here are the Cahoons, pretty much out best friends here
It was such a pretty skyline, I wanted a picture without kiddos (I am wearing Max though, which is why I am at an awkward angle)
The whole Carpenter Family
The next night after the corn maze, we got together with the Cahoons’ again and carved pumpkins. This is our 4th year carving pumpkins with them
Eldon puts his heart and soul into his pumpkin carving
Kendall with his pumpkin
All of out pumpkins
(Darick’s, Jayne’s, Kendall’s, Eldon’s, Jessica’s, and mine)
All lit up!
The next night, we got into costume to go to a Halloween party….

Mister.. Brother... Little man... Darling... Max
Max is now 7 mo. old He's getting pretty big, but I think he's starting to thin out. He's getting to be so tall. He still has some pretty serious leg rolls.. and I hope they don't disappear too fast. Jayne had rolls until she started crawling, then she turned into a little bean pole. Max loves to talk, he does this hissing thing when he's really happy. He has quite a loud voice, you almost don't expect it. He says AHHHHHHHHHHH a lot, as wall as DADADADADA (high pitch) and guh ga guh dad guh, ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. uhhhhhh. uh dad (I don't think he's actually saying dad, just making noise) Max can roll over, but only if you aren't looking. He pushes off of you to reach things, but usually fails. He does not crawl or even try to get into the crawling position. He also hardly stands. He loves to just sit and watch Jayne play (and yell at her if he feels like he's being ignored) He will occasionally eat cheerios, but he mostly blows them out. He will not take a bottle (absolutely refuses) and he gags and throws up anytime he is offered baby food. Max is super cuddly and we all love him so much!

Baby Giraffe
I’ve been working on Christmas gifts (can you believe we only have 2 1/2 mo. left?! ag!) I found this really cute (FREE!) pattern for a crocheted baby giraffe. I wanted to use yarn from my stash, so if I could do it again, I would change the colors a little.
He’s only about 7 inches tall, and I got him done in a couple hours (spaced apart over a couple nights… about 2 Project Runway Episodes)
He’s a really good project for a beginner. if you know how to chain and do a single crochet, you can totally make him!
My favorite parts of him are his cute little ears and mane.
Max likes his arms (sorry baby- you can have him at Christmas!)
Find the pattern here, sign up for a Ravelry account. Its free! and it’s the best. site. ever. Especially if you love yarn projects.

The little Pumpkin
I love Fall because of the colors, smells, cool breezes, and rain… but mostly because of the Pumpkins. Jayne is in a preschool some moms in my neighborhood are doing and we had a field trip today to a Pumpkin Patch. They had such a cute set up there, with a mini corn maze, train ride, and U Pick pumpkins. I was able to get a couple cute pictures of Jayne….
Here she’s waving..."Hello pumpkins"
This pumpkin was her favorite, she kept hugging it.
Posing with that same pumpkin
Jayne picked a little baby pumpkin to take home… “she’s so cute, mom!”
Here we are in the corn maze…

Back to real life
Well, believe it or not, September wasn’t ALL about sewing. Here are some of the other things that kept me occupied….
Keeping this little girls clean, she LOVES mud!
Training our new puppy Margo (or Mango) to go potty outside, roll over, and obey.
Watching this little man grow… he’s about as wide as he is tall
Thanking the husband for taking the kids so I could write my blog posts
Celebrating my 52nd 25th birthday
Loving on my babies
Max finding his first girlfriend, they kept kissing each other's cheeks. Seriously, who wouldn’t want to love on that chub?
