Weber Family Reunion 2009... the whole story

Darick and I drove up to the reunion last Thursday, pretty much everyone got there Thursday sometime. Then we set up our "tent city." It rained all night, and was windy and gross, some people got wet, but we were nice and cozy in our tent.

We were worried that our plans for the day were going to be totally ruined, but we decided to risk more rain and go up to the canyon, it really turned out beautiful! We had some really yummy sandwiches (the meal we were in charge of), and played lots of field games. When we came back we saw my bro-in-law Jason's art show he set up, it was pretty cool. Then we were all so exhausted, many of us went to bed, but Darick and I rocked out to Guitar Hero with some others, and it was totally awesome

Saturday we all got ready to go to the temple, we did some endowment names, and that was really cool. I love going to the temple with my family, although we were all really sleepy. It's so quiet and peaceful there; you just want to take a nap. After the temple we all went swimming, it was great, Jayne was taking a nap, so Darick stayed at the house with her, and he’s so great. Then we had a BBQ at Kim’s house and had a great time. Later that night we had a sweet talent show, see video, click here for a link to the SNL Skit we were copying.

On Sunday we took family pictures, and it took all morning... then we went to church, came home, relaxed and had a white elephant gift exchange, both Darick and I got exactly what we wanted. We spent the rest of the night chatting and hanging out. Darick copied all the pictures from the weekend to our computer..... Over 1000 pictures! After some more Guitar Hero we all went to bed.

On Monday we took down tent city, packed up and drove home. It was a great family reunion. I know everyone else thinks this, but I have the best family!

Nice family and perfect way to spend time together.
We like your idea of having a white elephant gift exchange.
We use the same thing in our family, only we now do it online.
