I went to one of the many Smithsonian museums here in Washington DC today.. and this is just ONE of the gems i got to see(click on the pic to enlarge)... enjoy my fellow Seinfeld fans

We're in a fight

So today started like any other day right? totally! then my sister dropped her kids off so she could help a friend shop... my life is still going great. later on in the morning.... they were all sitting at the table coloring, Jayne was getting ready for a nap, and i heard the exclamation of "PUPPY!" well let me tell you that there is only puppy who's name should be exclaimed at my house.. her name is cindy, and she's ferocious! So who does this "puppy" belong to? my neighbor....and from now on i will refer to as my "stinkin' neighbor."

Here's some background information....
last night i was spraying for weeds in my yard when i came several fresh, almost fresh, not so fresh, old and very old piles of dog poo....remember i have a dog, but her poo is tiny, because she's a small dog... this was some BIG poo. i knew that it was my stinkin' neighbor's dog. i was pretty angry about it, and i didn't want to say anything to my stinkin' neighbor last night, cause i don't think i would have been very nice.( i have spoken to the stinkin neighbor several times on different issues, they just aren't courteous people)

So today when i heard the exclamation of "PUPPY!" i knew what i had to do.... here in the city of idaho falls, if you are a dog owner, you have to have keep the dog on a leash, in a fenced yard or on a chain.... my stinkin' neighbor does not comply to any of these rules. so i get piles of poo in my yard! i saw that darn dog coming over to my yard, and i immediately called animal control. Then i waited...my sister came and picked up her kids.... and waited.... and waited... I sat on my porch and had a stare down with the dog.... she barked at me and i pointed and glared at her, then she sat down on her porch. i went back in my house and waited for the Animal Control officer to show up.

FINALLY (it was like 30 minutes total, which i think is pretty good) he came and did a drive by look, unfortunately for me the mail man made his neighborhood delivery 5 minutes before, and because my stinkin' neighbor's dog barks at him, she was brought back inside the house... ARG! so i ran out to talk to the animal control officer as he was making a second drive by.

He rolled down his window, i told him the situation, he said he would go and talk to stinkin' neighbor's wifey who was home. My life moved on.... i went visiting teaching, and when i came back i saw stinkin' neighbor's wife outside with that darn dog in their yard. i waved(like i always do), and she glared at me(she used to wave back) ... i guess "WE'RE IN A FIGHT."

Whatcha been up to?

I've been semi busy, and semi lazy. here's a cute dress i made... i totally did the pattern and design and everything myself. i think it turned out really cute. and there are little panties to go with it. here is a front view... click here to learn how to do the smocking (it would be so cute on like a pillow... oh like this!)

and this is what we had for dinner last night, grilled hamburgers with home made baked fries, it was super yummy, i hope your busy/laziness has been as great as mine. I am loving summer already!

I decided to make something for my mom for mothers day and these dishtowels seemed like something everyone could use more of.... but they needed something. so i decided to do some free motion embroidery. it's super easy and fun! just follow this tutorial. Seriously, it's REALLY easy!
